Douglas M. Goumas, MD
Douglas M. Goumas, MD is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He specializes in sports medicine and joint replacement. Dr. Goumas graduated from Yale University with honors and attended and graduated from the University of Connecticut Medical School, Farmington, Connecticut. He interned and did his residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center, Farmington, Connecticut. Dr. Goumas did his sports medicine fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital as one of the fellows working with the Boston Celtics. Dr. Goumas performs minimally invasive surgery of the shoulder and knee, and specializes in all arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs and ACL reconstructive surgery. Dr. Goumas is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He was recently appointed by thegovernor to the Advisory Council on Workers’ Compensation.

Robert works closely with Dr. Goumas and may see you before and after surgery. He is board certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. Robert completed his masters program at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Manchester, New Hampshire.
