Vladimir A. Sinkov, MD
Vladimir A. Sinkov, MD is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He specializes in surgical treatment of all areas of the spine including decompression, fusion, minimally invasive techniques, scoliosis correction, disc replacement and kyphoplasty. Dr. Sinkov graduated medical school from John Hopkins University School of Medicine Baltimore, Maryland. He did his residency at Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore Maryland. He did his fellowship in spine surgery at St. Joseph Medical Center, Baltimore Maryland. Dr. Sinkov has published several scientific articles and book chapters on spine surgery. He is also an editor for the monthly publication Practical Reviews in Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Sinkov is a trained NuVasive® XLIF® surgeon. XLI F is a minimally invasive approach to traditional lumber interbody fusion. The procedure was developed to overcome the obstacles of both anterior (front) and posterior (back) approaches, and to access the spine for fusion as minimally disruptive as possible. In an XLIF procedure, the spine is approached from the side of the body.
